Hi,

As per my previous correspondence the Queensland Government has announced changes to the public health and social measures that will be in place from the 17th of December 2021. A copy of the update can be found on the Queensland Government website at https://www.qld.gov.au/health/conditions/health-alerts/coronavirus-covid-19/current-status/queensland-restrictions-update/public-health-and-social-measures-linked-to-vaccination-status

I am writing to confirm that we will be restricting access to our facilities from the 17th of December whereby only persons that have been fully vaccinated for COVID-19 and who have provided us with evidence of this will be permitted to enter. If you are not vaccinated please do not attempt to enter our sites to visit residents in our aged care homes as we will unfortunately be required to ask you to leave. There will be an exception made where the visit is for an end of life visit but this must be organised and approved by the Care Manager prior to your visit.

We understand that this will be difficult for those of you that have made the decision not to be vaccinated but ask that you remember this is not a requirement of our organisation but rather the Queensland Government. As such please do not take out your frustration on our team as there is nothing we are able to do to change the above requirement.

Thank you for your understanding.

Regards,

Eric Anderson
